Macy Chiasson Defeats Pannie Kianzad By Submission To Become TUF 28 Winner

Macy Chiasson was crowned the next winner of The Ultimate Fighter tonight after a second round submission victory over Pannie Kianzad.

Round One:

Chiasson pressing forward with her head down, but Kianzad pumping out punches. Solid punch for Kianzad. Kick for Chiasson. Chiasson pressing in for a takedown attempt, but settles for the clinch against the cage instead.

Kianzad briefly reverses the position, but Chiasson soon gets back to the dominant position and works a few knees.

Continued pressure from Chiasson against the cage and then more big knees. Chiasson trying for a single-leg attempt, but Kianzad stays upright.

Couple of knees to the body again from Chiasson and then she charges Kianzad across the Octagon and back into the clinch against the cage.

Big knee to the head from Chiasson. Kianzad with a left hand and then they separate. Kianzad treis for a takedown, but Chiasson stuffed that and then capitalized by taking Kianzad’s back and locking in the body triangle.

Chiasson working for the rear-nake choke here. She sinks it in with 10 seconds of the round remaining, but Kianzad is able to hang tough until the bell.

Round Two:

Chiasson quick out of the blocks and lands a punch straight away. She continues to pressure forward with punches and then into the clinch. Knee to the body for her.

Kianzad manages to fight successfully for a reversal. Knees and an elbow for Kianzad. Then Chiasson drops her with a punch and follows her to the mat looking for a finish.

Kianzad manages to hang tough though and then threatens with a submision, transitioning for an armbar attempt. Chiasson suddenly in defensive mode but manages to stay patient and escape.

Chiasson back on top and takes Kianzad’s back. She sinks in the rear-naked choke and that’s it, Kianzad taps out at 2.11mins of the second round and Chiassad emerges victorious to become the next winner of The Ultimate Fighter.
