Michael Bisping Verbally Agrees To Fight GSP, But It’s Not Happening

Middleweight champion Michael Bisping has taken to social media in an attempt to convince Georges St. Pierre to sign a new deal with the promotion so they can fight at UFC 206 on December 10th.

It’s a little surprising that Bisping is so eager to fight, given that it would come just two months after his hard fought victory over Dan Henderson at UFC 204, which saw him being dropped twice in the opening 10 minutes of the fight and left with significant facial damage.

He knows that GSP’s comeback fight would be a guaranteed moneyspinner though, particularly as he would be due a cut of the pay-per-view revenue as the 185lb champ, and so it seems like he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get that fight.

However, the bad news for Bisping is that after his social media outburst, Dana White told MMAJunkie.com that, “There is no Bisping vs. ‘GSP’ fight in Toronto. I know Mike wants it, but it’s not happening.”

So, that could put an end to the matter, though it’s worth remembering that White also denied that McGregor Vs Alvarez would happen at UFC 205, yet that’s exactly what’s topping the bill for the New York City show after all.
