Morgan Charriere delivered a big knockout finish early in the 2nd round of his fight with Gabriel Miranda today at UFC Fight Night 243 in Paris.

Round One:

Both throw a kick at the same time and then break away. Miranda presses into range behind a strike and clinches up, walking Charriere over to the cage.

Miranda eager to get the fight to the mat, but unable to do so at the moment. He attempts to pull guard, but Charriere fends that off and now he’s pressing Miranda into the cage.

Miranda attempts a throw, but Charriere successfully defends it. Charriere still pressing Miranda into the cage and lands a sort punch. Miranda tries to pull guard, but just falls to his back and Charriere lands a few elbows ten just stands over him.

Miranda back up. A couple of punches for Charriere and Miranda fires back. Charriere circles side-to-side. Miranda attempts a takedown that’s blocked and now Charriere lands his own takedown.

Charriere still wary of Miranda’s submission game though so he doesn’t stay on the mat with him before long before backing away.

Hard jab from Charriere. Miranda reaches for a takedown but doesn’t get it and Charriere ends up on top again.

This time Miranda is able to force a scramble and now he’s around to Charriere’s back and is trying for a rear-naked choke. Charriere defending it for now though and escapes. Miranda stays on his back as Charriere stands over him and kicks his leg.

Miranda back up. He attempts a high kick. Missed punch from him and a front kick to the body does land. A few swings and a miss from Miranda in the final seconds of the round.

Round Two:

Charriere circles and then lands a leg kick. He tries it again and this time Miranda checks it.

They clinch up in the center of the Octagon and Miranda attempts a judo throw that fails then switches into a spinning backfist attempt at close range, but Charriere counters with a blistering hook right to the chin that floors him, then starts to land ground-and-pound as the ref races in to end the fight. Big KO finish for Charriere at 0.27mins of Rd2.
