You know that ‘The Notorious’ Conor McGregor has broken into the mainstream when even the likes of Justin Beiber is throwing his two cents in about his shock loss to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 on Saturday night.

As it turns out, the pop star is a big fan of McGregor and admitted on Instagram that his loss had, “broke my heart.”

However, Beiber – who’s trained in boxing under Floyd Mayweather – then stepped over the line by critizing Diaz’s fighting style.

“No bandwagon but Conor is a true champion, fights with style and finesse, all the respect to Nate but his style is terrible,” Beiber wrote. “Nate has crazy heart respect.”

It wasn’t long before word of Beiber’s insult reached Diaz himself, who quickly shut him down with the perfect response on Instagram.

This isn’t the first time Beiber has disrespected a UFC fighter, having also mocked Ronda Rousey after her loss to Holly Holm last year.

“did you see Ronda Rousey? She got knocked out cold! Oh my God, she got knocked out so bad. Yeah no, she got pummeled,” Beiber told Entertainment Tonight just minutes after he’d issued an apology to the former champion for refusing to take a picture with her and her sister at the Cannes Film Festival.
