We’ve not heard much from former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey recently, but she’s come out of hiding for a new Reebok advert in which she discusses the idea of ‘perfection’.
“Here’s the thing about being perfect,” Ronday states in the advert. “Perfect never gets truly tested. Perfect never gets to silence its critics. Perfect never gets a shot at redemption.”
“So yeah. I’m fine not being perfect.”
Reading between the lines that sounds like Rousey does plan to make a comeback, despite recent murmurings that perhaps she wasn’t going to return after her devastating KO loss to Holly Holm.
There had been hopes that Rousey would fight on the UFC 205 card in New York City in November, but recently Dana White indicated that there was a possibility it may be 2017 before she’d be back.
If and when she does set foot in the Octagon again, she’ll find the bantamweight landscape has shifted considerably, with Holm having lost the title to Miesha Tate, who was then taken out by the new title holder Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 this past weekend in Las Vegas.
