Ronda Rousey To Co-Star In Tina Fey Movie ‘Do Nothing Bitches’

Ronda Rousey has signed up to yet another major upcoming Hollywood movie, a comedy starring Tina Fey called, ‘Do Nothing Bitches’, a phrase that was made famous by Rousey herself when she used it during an episode of UFC Embedded prior to her UFC 190 fight with Bethe Correia last year.

“I have this one term for the kind of woman my mother raised me to not be, and I call it a do nothing bitch. A DNB,” Rousey said at the time. “The kind of chick that just tries to be pretty and be taken care of by someone else. That’s why I think it’s hilarious if my body looks masculine or something like that. Listen, just because my body was developed for a purpose other than fucking millionaires doesn’t mean it’s masculine. I think it’s femininely badass as fuck because there’s not a single muscle on my body that isn’t for a purpose, because I’m not a do nothing bitch. It’s not very eloquently said but it’s to the point and maybe that’s just what I am. I’m not that eloquent but I’m to the point.”

The rant then went viral, helped Rousey become even more of a female icon than she already was, and was even played back by Beyonce during one of her concerts.

Then UFC President Dana White revealed that the concept behind the phrase was now being used as the inspiration for a movie, and sure enough that’s now proven to be true.

The film is being described as “a female empowerment tale” which will see Rousey play the role of a no-nonsense instructor who shakes up the lives of some wealthy, pampered wives.

One of those wealthy wives is almost certain to be played by Fey who’ll be the lead star in the project as well as it’s producer, fresh from the success of her latest movie, ‘Sisters’ which has already grossed over $85 million at the box office since it’s release less than a month ago.

Fey is of course also a former writer and performer on Saturday Night Live, and Rousey is set to follow in her footsteps next weekend when she gets the opportunity to host the show.

So, Rousey’s celebrity status is very much intact in 2016 despite her devastating head kick KO loss to Holly Holm in November of last year.

Unfortunately that means she’s not going to be back in the Octagon any time soon, with Dana White confirming recently that she won’t be fighting at UFC 200 in July as was originally planned due to her wanting more time off.

That’s no surprise given that she’s expected to begin filming her lead role in the remake of ‘Road House’ sometime in the next six months as well as appearing alongside Mark Wahlberg in ‘Mile 22’ and in the movie about her life story title, ‘My Life / Your Life’, though it’s unclear at this stage when that last picture will be filmed.

Rousey has however indicated in the past month that she does still intend to get back into the Octagon at some stage and attempt to avenge her loss to Holm.
