Earlier this week we reported that Ronda Rousey‘s mom, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars had put the bantamweight champion’s coach Edmond Tarverdyan on blast calling him “a terrible coach” and a “bad person”, but it’s now emerged that she made even more explosive comments than that.
In newly recently video from the interview with LatiNation De Mars steps it up a notch, stating that, “I would run over him with my car if there wasn’t a law against it.”
To say De Mars is no shrinking violet would be a massive understatement and it seems she’s not been afraid to tell Tarverdyan to his face how much he detests him.
“Every time I go in his gym, he used to say, ‘How are you?'” De Mars said. “And I’d say, ‘How the fuck do you think I am? I’m in your f*cking gym and I f*cking hate you.’ So now he doesn’t ask me how I am anymore.”
So, there’s no doubting De Mars position on the subject, which appears to stem from the fact that, by his own admission, Tarverdyan essentially completely ignored Rousey when she first started training at his Glendale Fight Club gym in California, and only began to coach her a few months afer realizing just how talented she was.
There could be more to the story than that, but at this stage all we know for sure is that as far as Rousey’s mom is concerned, Tarverdyan is public enemy No.1.
“I hate that guy. He’s like the most worthless human being God ever put on this Earth.”
As footnote to all this, it’s worth noting that the latest video clip with these comments has since been made ‘private’ on YouTube.
