UFC 154 Prelims: TV Ratings

Saturday night’s UFC 154 prelims on FX drew an average of 980,000 viewers.

That’s down slightly from the one million who watched the UFC 153 preliminaries last month, though four other prelim shows in 2012 to date have delivered lower audiences.

The biggest ratings so far this year came for the UFC 148 prelims which produced 1.8 million viewers. At the time it was believed that this strong showing may have been due to the hype surrounding the PPV main event that night, a rematch between Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen.

Saturday’s GSP Vs Condit headliner was also one of the biggest fights of the year, but it doesn’t appear to have moved the needle in the same way as far as prelim ratings go and so it’ll be very interesting to see what kind of pay-per-view estimates we end up getting for this event.
