UFC 166 Medical Suspensions

The medical suspensions list has now been released for last weekend’s UFC 166 event and shows a number of fighters facing indefinite suspensions as a result of an action-packed night of fights.

Unsurprisingly, Junior Dos Santos, who endured sustained punishment over the better part of five rounds is amongst them.

Also in a similar boat is Shawn Jordan who was TKO’d early in his fight on the main card, and Tim Boetsch who’s feeling the effects of two illegal eye-pokes during his fight.

While JDS’ injuries were plain to see on Saturday night, it turns out that the victorious Cain Velasquez has a suspected broken jaw and that’s leaves him as the only fighter on the card facing a six month suspension.

Meanwhile, Diego Sanchez has to sit out three months due to the cuts he sustained in his bloody battle with Gilbert Melendez, while Darrell Montague and TJ Waldburger are also suspended until January after being KO’d.
