UFC 181 Medical Suspensions

Amongst the notable fighters listed on the UFC 181 medical suspensions list is injury-prone lightweight champion Anthony Pettis who had a suspected broken hand following his victory against Gilbert Melendez on Saturday night.

However, Pettis himself has since confirmed on Twitter that “my hand is fine!”. Given that he’d spent 16 months out prior to his fight at the weekend that will no doubt come as a relief to the UFC.

Two other main card fighters will be sitting out for up to six months though with Abel Trujillo suffering a fractured nose during his loss to Tony Ferguson, while Francisco Rivera has damage to his left eye following an inadvertent eye-poke by Urijah Faber.

Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
