UFC 198 Sells Out 45,000 Seat Stadium In Brazil

mma and ufc news

UFC 198 is now officially sold out, just three days after 45,000 tickets went on sale for the stacked event, which will take place in a stadium in Curitiba, Brazil.

The first 32,000 tickets were reported to have been snapped up in just 90 minutes, and it’s not taken long for the remainder of the overall 45,000 ticket allocation to also be claimed, with only VIP packages now left.

That solidifies UFC 198’s status as being the third most attended event in the promotion’s history, falling behind only UFC 193: Rousey Vs Holm in Australia and UFC 129: GSP Vs Shields in Canada.

UFC 198 is set to be as star-studded a line-up as we’ve ever seen in Brazil, headlined by a heavyweight title encounter between Fabricio Werdum and Stipe Miocic, with Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza Vs Vitor Belfort taking co-main event duties on the night.

You can get a sense of the strength in depth that will be on display in Curitiba when you consider that Anderson Silva only takes the third spot on the line-up for his fight with Uriah Hall, while beneath that there will be the likes of Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua Vs Corey Anderson, Damien Maia Vs Matt Brown and the debut of Cris ‘Cyborg’ Justino Vs Leslie Smith.
