UFC Buys Out LA Boxing Gyms; Plans To Convert Them To UFC Gyms

The UFC made a major announcement today that they have acquired the chain of LA Boxing Gyms which operates primarily out of the U.S.

“We just bought LA Boxing so all of those are going to be converted into UFC gyms,” Dana White announced at the New Media Expo today in Las Vegas.

In total the UFC now own all 83 LA Boxing gyms spanning 21 different states and Puerto Rico.

The UFC already owns six branded gyms of their own, four in California, one in Hawaii and one in New York with another planned for Australia in the near future.

This is a deal that appears to make a lot of sense with MMA style workouts currently becoming increasingly popular, while it’s also a great way to promote their brand and help encourage more youngsters to becoming involved in the sport from an early age.
