Following today’s UFC Fight Night 63 event the recipients of the $50,000 fighter bonus awards were announced.
Four ‘Performance of The Night’ awards were served up on this occasion with the first deservedly going to headliner Chad Mendes who’s destructive punching power led to a first round TKO victory against Ricardo Lamas.
Dustin Poirier also pocketed a bonus with a similarly swift TKO finish via punches against Carlos Diego Ferreira
Former TUF winner Julianna Pena marked her return to action after a long spell on the sidelines due to knee surgery and looked like she’d never left with a dominant ground and pound beatdown against Milana Dudieva.
Scooping up the final bonus award was Timothy Johnson who also joined the first round finish club on the night with three seconds to spare after a takedown led to a ground and pound stoppage against Shamil Abdurahimov.
