UFC Fight Night 70 Medical Suspensions

The medical suspensions report from UFC Fight Night 70 is now in and shows that two fighter have been suspended indefinitely as a result of injuries they sustained during their bouts in Florida this past weekend.

One of those fighters is main event star Lyoto Machida who suffered a tough knockout loss courtesy of a vicious series of ground and pound elbows from Yoel Romero.

The 37 year-old Machida was fighting just two months after a one-sided loss to Luke Rockhold, so it seems sensible that ‘The Dragaon’ requires a CT Scan and it will no doubt do him good to spend some time on the sidelines recovering and perhaps contemplating his future with just one win in his last four Octagon outings.

Also suspended indefinitely is Hacran Dias who injured his right foot during a close split decision victory over Levan Makashvili on the main card.

Meanwhile, Steve Bosse, who suffered what looked to be the most brutal knockout of the night via a Lorenz Larkin head kick was understandably taking to hospital after the fight and now faces 90 days on the sidelines recouperating.
