UFC Fight Night 71 Salaries

The basic salaries from UFC Fight Night 71 have now been released and show that Frank Mir was the only fighter earning a six figure sum on the night, taking home $200,000 after his KO victory over fellow main eventer Todd Duffee who by contrast was one of the lowest earners on the night, banking just £$12,000.

Even in defeat the second highest earner on the night was still Josh Thomson who earned $85,000, followed by the man who beat him, Tony Ferguson who was on $60,000, as was Manny Gamburyan.

As always it’s worth bearing in mind that these figures are just the basic salaries and don’t include additional income sources for the fighter such as sponsorship money and bonuses.

Over the years I've watched the UFC develop into the powerhouse it is today, organizations like PRIDE, Strikeforce and WEC rise and fall, and Bellator emerge as a new force on the MMA landscape. Throughout it all I've remained captivated by the sport and I'm excited to cover what comes next here on MMA Insight.
