Following last night’s UFC On FOX 31 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was a spirited undercard scrap between Joaquim Silva and Jared Gordon, which saw both fighters throwing heavy leather for much of the fight, before Silva finally secured a knockout finish at the half-way mark of the final round.
Main event winner Al Iaquinta earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus after he battled his way to a unanimous decision victory over Kevin Lee, landing some big strikes along the way that troubled his opponent, while also doing good work on the mat to avoid being submitted, despite having his back taken several times.
Charles Oliveira scooped up the second ‘Performance Of The Night’ award after adding yet another submission victory to his already record-breaking resume, submitting Jim Miller with a rear-naked choke in just 75 seconds.
