UFC On Fuel TV 4: TV Ratings

Last night’s ‘UFC on Fuel TV 4’ event drew an average of 211,000 viewers.

That was enough to put it second on the list of four live events that the UFC has held on Fuel TV so far, just 6 thousand viewers shy of their current best of 217,000 for the very first ‘UFC On Fuel TV’ event.

The event also peaked with a healthy 291,000 viewers during the main event which saw Chris Weidman make a real push for title contention at 185lbs after blasting through Mark Munoz.

While the numbers don’t compare to the UFC’s shows on sister networks FOX and FX, they are still very good by Fuel TV standards, and are sure to be pleasing to all concerned given that this event was almost entirely overshadowed by UFC 148 just a few days earlier and had received very little promotion and media coverage.

While Fuel TV still has a much smaller reach than many other channels, it’s already seen a dramatic increase in it’s viewership since it bolstered it’s programming with UFC content at the start of the year.  That’s good news and should eventually lead to the channel being picked up  by other major television providers which will expand the number of homes it’s available in and boost the overall ratings for their shows.
