Vitor Belfort Knocks Out Dan Henderson In 77 Seconds At UFC Fight Night 32

Vitor Belfort did what no one has ever done before tonight at ‘UFC Fight Night 32’, finish Dan Henderson by strikes, and he did it in devasatating fashion in just 77 seconds.

Round One

The main event is underway with a touch of gloves between the two men. Belfort circles at range while Henderson takes the center of the cage and slowly stalks him.

A minute in and still not a strike thrown. Very cautious approach.

Then all hell breaks loose. Hendo wades in somewhat awkwardly, looking to land that big right hand, but it’s Belfort who unleashes with a left hand that drops Henderson to the mat.

Henderson trying to survive under a barrage of blows from Belfort. He manages to struggle to his feet, but is immediately met by a perfectly placed right head kick from Belfort that sends him straight back down again!

And that’s it, the referee’s seen enough and calls an end to the fight with only 1.17mins on the clock!

Remarkable stuff from Belfort, again looking in top form and finishing by head kick. Not only that, but he’s also just become the first fighter to ever stop Hendo by strikes, and that’s a very big deal indeed given how durable he’s been over his long career.
