Today, ONE FC posted highlights of its Rise of Heroes press conference in Manila. Though under three minutes long, the video gives fans a glimpse of how ONE FC CEO, Victor Cui, envisions his organization and his fighters:
“I’m not the story here,” Cui told the press at the Mall of Asia Arena. “ONE FC’s not the story here. We’re just the platform, and we’re excited to be showcasing these guys, bringing the best ever fight card again to Manila.”
The Canadian-born Cui also took the time to remind the audience of his own Filipino heritage:
“You guys know I’m proud to be Filipino, and I really work hard to take it up another notch every time I come here.”
Many fighters on the Rise of Heroes card also appeared in the video.
Rise of Heroes kicks off on May 2nd from the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines. Nine fights are scheduled so far.
