Rob Lisita Versus Eric Kelly Added to “War of Dragons”

ONE FC fans have another fight to look forward to at the promotion’s upcoming, eighteenth event, War of Dragons.  “Ruthless” Rob Lisita, the thirty-one-year-old, Phuket Top Team member from Australia, will be taking on “The Natural,” Eric Kelly, who hails from the Philippines.

Fans can expect to see some high-level grappling in this fight.  Both fighters are skilled in the art of ground warfare, and both have won the majority of their fights via submission.  Seven of Lisita’s fourteen wins have come by way of forcing his opponent to tap, and Kelly has done the same for eight of his ten wins.

War of Dragons viewers will also not have to worry about any “lay and pray” wrestling. Both “Ruthless” and his Filipino opponent are finishers who continually push the action in their fights.  Only one decision win stands on Kelly’s record, and Lisita has only gone the distance six times in his nineteen fights.

Neither man is going to be easy to finish, though.  Out of all of the men who have stepped in the cage with Lisita, none have knocked him out, and only two have submitted him.  As for Kelly, one man has the honor of finishing him – Honorio Banario, who beat Kelly via TKO when he injured “The Natural’s” eye.  This was Kelly’s one and only loss.

ONE FC’s War of Dragons will be held live in Taipei, Taiwan on July 11. As of now, there are only five fights on the card, but more will almost certainly be announced in the coming weeks.
