Benoit Saint Denis vs. Renato Moicano Targeted For UFC Fight Night 245 In Paris

A lightweight fight between Benoit Saint Denis and Renato Moicano is in the works for UFC Fight Night 245 in Paris, France on September 28th.

The 28-year-old Saint Denis is coming off a knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 back in March that pumped the brakes on his push up the lightweight ranks over the past couple of years.

Before that defeat Saint Denis had been on a five-fight winning streak, with each having come inside the distance by either strikes or submission against the likes of Ismael Bonfim, Thiago Moises and Matt Frevola.

Now ranked No.12 at 155lbs, Saint Denis will be attempting to get back to winning ways against the 32-year-old Moicano, who is currently two places above him on the lightweight ladder at No.10.

Moicano is riding a three-fight winning streak heading into this encounter, having submitted Brad Riddell, won a unanimous decision over Drew Dober and most recently TKO’d Jalin Turner at UFC 300 in April.

Saint Denis vs. Moicano hasn’t been officially confirmed yet, but is expected to join a UFC Paris card that is still in it’s formative stages, with the only other fight so far lined up being a featherweight bout between William Gomis and Joanderson Brito.
