Brendan Fitzgerald Lands Play-By-Play Commentator Role At UFC Fight Night 123

There will be a new voice in the broadcast booth at Saturday night’s UFC Fight Night 123 event, with Brendan Fitzgerald set to take on the role of play-by-play commentator alongside Paul Felder.

Fitzgerald already has a working relationship with Felder, having sat in the booth alongside him to call Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series on UFC Fight Pass earlier this year.

Fitzgerald’s previous work also includes stints at ESPN and on FOX 25 News and he’s now eager to get underway in his new role.

“I am pumped to get to work for my first full UFC card in Fresno,” Fitzgerald told MMAjunkie. “It was a lot of fun to be a part of the Contender Series this summer, and I’m really happy to continue working with the UFC in a more expanded role. I’m so grateful for the opportunity and confidence shown in me by the UFC and FOX Sports to get this assignment.

“Everyone behind the scenes with the UFC and FOX are top notch, and Paul Felder and I have become fast friends and have a solid on-air chemistry. I can’t say thank you enough to all involved in helping to make this happen.”

Fitzgerald is one of three play-by-play announcers that the UFC currently have on their books, with Jon Anik remaining the lead commmentator, while Todd Grisham was also brought on earlier this year to cover some shows.
