Tomorrow UFC 229 press conference in New York City was reportedly going to be closed to the public, with only media members being granted access to the Radio City Hall venue, but Conor McGregor has now claimed otherwise.
According to ‘The Notorious’, any fan who buys his newly launched ‘Proper Twelve’ Whiskey will be granted access to the presser, where he’ll come face-to-face with his rival Khabib Nurmagomedov for the first time since they agreed to fight at UFC 229 on October 6th.
“The press conference will be open to the public,” McGregor wrote on Twitter.
“The ticket for entry is a bottle of @ProperWhiskey.
2 bottles and you skip the Q to the top.
My soldiers will be outside making sure this rule is strictly adhered to.
Radio city Hall. UFC 229 Press conference.”
Whether this is actually true or not, or just McGregor looking to promote his Whiskey remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds like it has the potential to cause the UFC some security headaches tomorrow, especially given that the last time the two fighters were in the same building together, ‘The Notorious’ ended up throwing a steel dolly threw the window of a bus that Nurmagomedov was sitting in.
