Donald Cerrone Says Conor McGregor Fight Would Be For Interim 155lb Title

Donald Cerrone seems to think that a fight with Conor McGregor is now in the works, and not only that, but it will be for an interim title.

“Good News @thenotoriousmma looks like we get to fight for 155 Interim Title vs @properwhiskey vs @budweiser,” Cerrone wrote to is potential opponent on Twitter.

Cerrone was also the special guest for the Fan Q&A session in Melbourne ahead of UFC 234 and he spoke more about the fight on-stage.

“It’s definitely gonna be this year,” Cerrone told an Irish fan. “This summer, I think, right? Hey, Irish, Australian, American. F*ckin’ root for whoever you want. I’m going in there to fight. I love it, man. I don’t care — boo, cheer.”

Another fan asked ‘Cowboy’ for a prediction on how the fight would end.

“How about second-round head kick?” Cerrone replied.

Asked how he would approach the fight, Cerrone assured fans that he was going to prepare for a stand-up war.

“I’m just gonna go out there and fight my ass off. Man, I really am. I’m definitely gonna stand and fight him. I’m not gonna try to wrestle him. I’m gonna f*ckin’ stand and give y’all want you want to see.”
