Greg Hardy’s Suffers Another KO Loss In The Boxing Ring

Former NFL player Greg Hardy’s combat sports career continues to lurch from one disaster to another after suffering another KO loss in the boxing ring.

The 35-year-old former UFC fighter was competing in the Team Combat League promotion on Thursday night when he was brutally knocked out by Samoan fighter Patrick Mailata, a pro boxer with a 6-2 record who had won a Bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games back in 2018.

Hardy was a controversial signing by the UFC back in 2019 due to having previously been flushed out of the NFL after getting into trouble over domestic abuse charges and possession of cocaine.

Hardy’s attempt to reinvent himself as a UFC star failed to materialize, going just 4-5 (+1nc) during his three-year stint there, culminating in three losses via T(KO) in a row that led to him being released.

Since then he has gone 3-0 in boxing, but at the same time he’s been KO’d by Josh Watson in bareknuckle boxing and in addition to last night’s loss was also TKO’d in another Team Combat League event by Alexander Flores last year.

In total that means that Hardy has gone 6-6 in his last 12 fights across various combat sports disciplines, with all six of his losses coming via either KO or TKO.
