Mark Diakiese Leaves UFC To Sign For PFL

Mark Diakiese’s time in the UFC has come to an end as it’s been announced that he’s now signed for the PFL organization.

The 31-year-old fighter hails from the UK and had been competing for the UFC since 2016. Back then he made an immediate impact by winning his first three fights in a row inside the Octagon, extending his career record to 12-0.

However, Diakiese then went on to lose his next three fights and has continued to struggle with consistency in his results since, winning some bouts, but often coming off second-best when going up against established players in the lightweight ranks.

That being said, Diakiese did end his 8-7 UFC run with a split-decision victory over Kaue Fernandes last November in Brazil as he now looks ahead to a new challenge in the PFL outfit, with plans now in the works for him to compete for them later this year.

“I am proud to call PFL my new home, and I can’t wait to get started,” Diakiese said in a press release. “I plan to debut in the SmartCage later this year to announce my arrival to the roster, and then I will enter the regular season where I’m coming for that one million dollar prize money.”
