UFC bantamweight star Merab Dvalishvili has emerged uninjured after being involved in a serious car accident in New York involving multiple vehicles.
Dvalishvili had arrived in New York that day and soon after got an Uber ride that went badly wrong when they were involved in a collision with at least two other cars.
The video starts with the 33-year-old recording himself from the backseat of the car after the accident with discharged airbags and fallen upholstery surrounding him as he exclaims, “Wow, that’s crazy.”
When he gets out it’s clear that the uber he was in had taken major damage to the front and rear doors on the right hand side where Dvalishvili had been sitting.
Thankfully Dvalishvili has said that he was uninjured during the crash.
“I am in New York for one day, a couple of hours, and I got in a huge accident,” Dvalishvili said in the video as he assessed the damage to the cars involved. “I was in Uber and our car got hit by some other cars. Look at the damage. I was sitting here and got hit, thank God I’m OK. F*ck. Now my bags are inside.”
Dvalishvili is currently awaiting a date for a title shot at 135lbs against Sean O’Malley after going on a 10-fight winning streak over the past five years, beating Jose Aldo, Petr Yan and most recently Henry Cejudo along the way.
