Ronda Rousey Hints At Major News Coming Soon

Ronda Rousey hasn’t been in the public eye too much of late, but she’s just launched a new website, and it seems she may have some kind of a big announcement coming in the near future.

“Major news and exclusive content coming soon,” the welcome message on her new site reads at rondarousey.com.

At this stage there’s no suggestion that any forthcoming announcements will be related to a potential return to the Octagon however, with UFC President Dana White recently telling ESPN that he doesn’t think she’ll fight again.

“I think people realize she’s probably going to retire,” White said. “Now she’s going to move on to the next chapter of her life, get married and have kids, do that thing. It’s not sad, it’s the way she wanted it.”

Rousey recently became engaged to fellow UFC star Travis Browne and has recently been appearing as a team captain on the ABC television reboot, ‘Battle Of The Network Stars,’ which has struggled to gain traction as far as TV ratings goes.

It’s quite possible that the WWE could be in Rousey’s future in some shape or form though as she’s previously appeared as a special guest star alongside ‘The Rock’ at Wrestlemania 33 in 2015, and she recently was in attendance to watch the start of the WWE’s ‘Mae Young Classic’ Women’s tournament to cheer on her friend and training partner Shayna Baszler, who’s already transitioned to pro-wrestling.

One person who thinks Rousey will make her way to the WWE is legendary announcer Jim Ross, who said as much in an interview with TMZ last week.

“She’s going to be a big star,” Ross said. “Somewhere it’s inevitable. I see her in Wrestlemania someday. Too great an opportunity for her to pass up and the WWE to pass up. It’s a match made in heaven,”

Ross launched MMA Insight (previously FightOfTheNight.com) in 2009 as a way to channel his passion for the sport of mixed martial arts. He's since penned countless news stories and live fight reports along with dozens of feature articles as the lead writer for the site, reaching millions of fans in the process.
