A heavyweight title rematch between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou is finally locked in and will headline UFC 260 on March 27th.

The first fight between the two took place back in January of 2018, but despite a lot of hype leading into the clash, it proved to be anything but a thriller as an uncharacteristically timid Ngannou failed to make headway, allowing Miocic to cruise to victory by unanimous decision.

However, since then Miocic has got back to the form that made him a fan favorite in the first place, beating Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, Junior dos Santos and Jairzinho Rozenstruik via strikes in a combined time of less than a single five-minute round.

As for Miocic, after breaking the UFC record for most consecutive heavyweight title defenses (3) against Ngannou, he then suffered defeat in his next fight against Daniel Cormier.

However, Miocic has since convincingly avenged that loss on two occasions with a TKO and decision victory over DC to ensure his place at the summit of the heavyweight ladder.

Miocic vs. Ngannou II will headline a UFC 260 card that will also feature a second major title clash as welterweight champion Alex Volkanovski will be going up against Brian Ortega in the co-main event.
