Three fighters have been penalized after testing positive for Marijuana at UFC Fight Night 104 in Houston, Texas on February 4th.
Abel Trujillo, Curtis Blaydes and Nico Price were all found to have marijuana in their system during in-competition testing procedures and as such have been suspended for 90 days and fined $1,000.
in addition, wins for both Blaydes and Price against Adam Milstead and Alex Morono respectively have been amended to no-contest rulings, while Trujillo’s loss to James Vick still stands.
It should be noted that this punishment is not being dished out by USADA as fighters would have to go over a threshold 150 ng /ml of marijuana metabolites before they would be suspended.
However, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation doesn’t adhere to that threshold and so they took it upon themselves to punish the three individuals.
