Following last night’s UFC 240 event the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
Fight Of The Night honors went to a preliminary card clash between Deiveson Figueiredo and Alexandre Pantoja, which proved to be a spirited scrap in which Figueiredo proved to have the edge in the striking department and put his opponent down in the second round, though in the end he settled for a win on the scorecards.
Geoff Neal earned a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus after his exciting fight with Niko Price, which saw him trade toe-to-toe with his opponent at times in high-octane exchanges, though ultimately it would be hard ground and pound in the second round that sealed his TKO victory.
Earlier, Hakeem Dawodu also secured a performance bonus after he stepped up a gear in the third round against Yoshinori Horie, putting together a series of strikes including a good knee to the body, before finishing him with a head kick.
