UFC 247 Bonus Awards

Following last night’s UFC 247 event in Texas the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.

Earning ‘Fight Of The Night’ honors was an extremely close preliminary card headlining battle between Trevin Giles and James Krause.

Krause had accepted the fight and moved up a division on just a days notice as a late replacement, yet put on a show for the fans with a a highly competitive back-and-forth scrap that saw both men having their moments, though ultimately Giles would do enough to claim a split decision victory.

Meanwhile, Mario Bautista scooped up a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award after his impressive second round flying knee knockout finish against Miles Johns during the prelims.

Also earning a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award was Khaos Williams, who had been making his UFC debut on short notice, yet managed to claim a stunningly swift KO victory over Brandon Moreno courtesy of aggressive striking from the opening bell that soon floored his opponent and led to the finish.
