Following last night’s UFC Fight Night 112 event in Oklahoma the recipients of the evening’s $50,000 bonus awards were announced.
On this occasion there was no ‘Fight Of The Night’ award, with four ‘Performance of The Night’ bonuses being dished out instead.
The first of those went to main event winner Kevin Lee, thanks to a rear-naked choke submission over Michael Chiesa deep in the first round of their fight, even though the stoppage was considered extremely controversial due to the fact that Chiesa was still conscious and hadn’t tapped.
Also earning a ‘Performance Of The Night’ bonus was Tim Boetsch, who rocked Johny Hendricks with a head kick in the second round and then dropped him with follow-up punches to secure a big TKO victory.
Dominick Reyes also secured a bonus after he blasted through Joachim Christensen in just 29 seconds, knocking him to the floor in an early exchange and then sending him straight back down again with another punch for the TKO finish.
Meanwhile, preliminary fighter Jeremy Kimball secured an extra $50,000 after he stopped Josh Stansbury with strikes on the feet followed by ground and pound, with the TKO finish occuring at the 81 second mark of the very first round.
