UFC Top Knockouts So Far in 2022

The year hasn’t been silent in the UFC world, with us enjoying numerous knockouts this year. It has been an exciting time in the fighting scene, and we enjoy all the exciting times it brings to us. We’ve had incredible knockouts that left everyone bewildered for many years, and they even help make better betting guides.

Knockouts are a major part of contact sports, and seeing giant individuals fall out flat is something that puts it at the top, even though it has been happening for many years. As dangerous as it might seem, every UFC fan enjoys seeing vicious knockouts that end the matchup in a grand style.

Micheal Chandler vs. Tony Ferguson

At UFC 274, we saw a rare, vicious knockout as we’ve never seen before. Without a doubt, this is one of the top contenders for the year’s KO with the way it went. The match was between 3-time Bellator lightweight champion Micheal Chandler and fan-favorite Tony Ferguson.

We were expecting a close match, and it was going that way until the kick from Chandler that sent Ferguson crashing to the canvas and leaving him unconscious for a minute. It was a perfectly timed kick that took out the opposition. Undoubtedly, it is up there with the greatest KOs of all time.

Molly McCann vs. Luana Carolina

We’ve seen Molly McCann knock some people out before joining the UFC. However, since she arrived at the Octagon, she has been struggling to put opponents away and continues to rely on her relentless resilience to win fights. All her wins before May were by unanimous decision, and as a result, she was still finding her way up.

Then came UFC London when she took on Luana Carolina. McCann was her usual self and brought in her usual style of overwhelming opponents to increase her chances. Throughout the opening five minutes, she put up non-stop forward pressure. However, it didn’t help her much because she seemed tired in the second round.

However, as the fight got to the last round and the two were in a clinch, McCann used her taller frame to hold Carolina. After they were separated, McCann unleashed a monstrous spinning elbow that completely knocked Carolina out, sending the crowd into overdrive.

Illia Topuria vs. Jai Herbert

The world number 15 in the featherweight division, Ilia Topuria, is next on our list of UFC fighters with one of the craziest knockout nights this year. He got pulled out of the fight he was supposed to have against Movsar Evloev because he faced issues with his weight cut. A desperate Topuria was ready to get back into the ring, and because of that, he set up to face an unranked opponent.

It was a risky match for Topuria as he wasn’t the biggest featherweight fighter accepting a fight against one of the biggest in the lightweight division. The first round was good for Herbert because of his size. However, in the second round, Topuria didn’t let Herbert get any space, and after landing a combination of exquisite punches, the Brit fell to the canvas stunning the crowd at the 02 Arena.

Azamat Murzakanov vs. Tafon Nchukwi

Although he is not as popular as many top UFC fighters, Azamat Murzakanov is a Russian that joined the UFC after a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender series. In the series, he got a first-round TKO victory. After that, he went on a rampage to get an incredible pro record of 10-0.

As a result, he secured a fight with Tafon Nchukwi, and through the fight, Murzakanov was ahead and continued to bully his opponent. As it seemed, after the second round, the Russian would get the unanimous vote. Therefore, Nchukwi started fighting recklessly, and he lost everything when he was caught flying from Murzakanov to KO him.

Song Yadong vs. Marlon Moraes

Marlon Moraes has suffered a horrid run since his failed attempt at the UFC Gold against Henry Cejudo. Coming into 2022, Moraes was on a 3-fight losing streak and needed a way back to winning ways. Therefore, his next fight against the Chinese youngster Song Yadong was a must-win one.

Moraes was brutally knocked out in his last three defeats, and there were doubts about his durability for the match against Yadong. The doubts were right as he went on to suffer another devastating knockout from the hands of the youngster. Yadong took him out with a picture-perfect uppercut, sending him to the canvas for an epic victory.
