Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw recently sparred with boxing sensation Vasyl Lomachenko and you can now watch extended video footage of the two fighters at work.
Dillashaw is currently in training for his grudge match title fight with former teammate Cody Garbrandt, and so he jumped at the chance to train with Lomachenko, who is the current WBO super featherweight champion and was known as the best amateur boxer of all-time prior to turning pro in 2013 after compiling a staggering 396-1 record and winning gold at both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics.
“He put it on me,” Dillashaw told ESNews afterwards. “He’s an animal. He’s a cardio machine. He doesn’t give you a break. So much respect. Just to share the ring with the guy was amazing. I would never pass up the opportunity. I wish I was in a little bit better shape, but it was amazing.”
Dillashaw believes he can pick up a lot from the Ukranian, and now hopes to have the opportunity to spar with him again in the future.
“It was amazing. I’m a guy who wants to use angles and use footwork, so I can learn a lot from him. I really hope I get to continue to work with him.”
