Karine Silva made short work of Ketlen Souza tonight at UFC On ESPN 46, finishing her in the first round by submission.
Round One:
Silva with leg kicks to start. Now Silva throws a punch as he she crashes the distance and clinches up, then lands a takedown.
Silva in half-guard. She lands an elbow as Souza brings her back into her guard. Silva goes for a heel hook and then seems to modify the submission to force a quick tapout from Souza, who clutches her leg in pain afterwards with some potential nasty knee damage just 1.45mins into the fight.
The official announces declares it a kneebar finish, though Silva says afterwards she was working for a heel hook.
