UFC veteran Jim Miller’s next fight will be against Gabriel Benitez at UFC Fight Night 234 on January 13th in Las Vegas.
The 40-year-old Miller will be taking his 43rd Octagon outing after earning a KO victory over Jesse Butler in just 23 seconds last time out.
Miller’s only other fight in 2023 was a unanimous decision loss to Alexander Hernandez back in February, but he had won three fights in a row prior to that, including KO and TKO victories over Erick Gonzalez and Nikolas Motta respectively followed by a submission finish against Donald Cerrone.
Now Miller’s impressive late-career form will be put to the test against the 35-year-old Benitez, who claimed a 1st round TKO victory over Charlie Ontiveros in his last fight.
That was back in August of 2022 though and Benitez had lost four of his previous five fights before that, including three defeats via strikes.
Miller vs. Benitez joins a UFC Fight Night 234 card that will serve as the promotion’s first event of the new year and is headlined by a light-heavyweight rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker, while other notable bouts include Andrei Arlovski faces Waldo Cortes-Acosta, Ketlen Vieira vs. Macy Chiasson and Ricky Simon vs. Gabriel Bautista.
