Female MMA superstar Ronda Rousey hit the news last week when she pointed out that media darling Kim Kardashian was a terrible role-model for kids and better suited to selling lube than shoes, and now she’s set her sights on Olympic swimming sensation Michael Phelps.
Rousey, who was a judo bronze medalist at the Beijing Olympics, recently talked about her experiences at the games and recalled how Phelps appeared to have got a little bit too big for his boots after winning eight gold medals and was keeping himself separate from the other Olympians.
“I don’t like being somebody’s teammate and being treated like I’m a groupie,” the outspoken Rousey told reporter Elie Seckbach.
“I didn’t even want to go out of my way to say hello to that guy. Get over yourself. All you do is swim. If someone slapped you every time you jumped in the pool, I might have a little respect, but I was a swimmer before I did this stuff, and you can’t tell me that swimming is ‘OH MY GOD’, because it’s not.”
