It turns out that the UFC aren’t the only organization to be suffering injury woes, with all-female organization Invicta FC now having to do without Strikeforce star Sarah Kaufman at their next show in October after she picked up an injury.
Kaufman had been looking to quickly rebound from her recent loss to Ronda Rousey by fighting Kaitlin Young at Invicta FC 3, but an undisclosed injury means that Young will now take a rematch with Leslie Smith instead.
Young and Smith originally fought at Invicta FC 1, but their fight ended in a split draw so it makes sense for them to battle it out in the cage for a second time.
Invicta FC 3 will remain headlined by their first ever bantamweight title fight which pits Jessica Penne vs. Naho Sugiyama and it’s believed that as with their previous shows, which have proved to be surprisingly popular, this one will air live for free via their official website on October 6th.
