Bisping Vs Belfort Now Officially Headlining Brazil Show On January 19th

The UFC have confirmed that a middleweight match-up between Michael Bisping and Vitor Belfort will headline a show set for Brazil on January 19th next year.

Curiously there’s no official name for the event yet, or an exact location for where it will take place. However, it is anticipated that Bisping Vs Belfort will be either a ‘UFC On FX’ or ‘UFC On Fuel TV’ show.

Bisping will be hoping that a win over Belfort could boost him to a title shot after having won five of his last six fights, with his only loss being by a razor-thin decision to former middleweight and current light-heavyweight title challenger Chael Sonnen.

As for Belfort, after stepping in at short notice to fight 205lb champion Jon Jones back in September, this is an opportunity to go back down in weight and show that despite his loss to the champion he’s still a major force at 185lbs.

Amongst the other notable fights on the card is a heavyweight match-up between Gabriel Gonzaga and Ben Rothwell and Nick Lentz Vs Diego Nunes.
