Clay Guida’s 145lb Debut Against Hiatsu Hioki Added To UFC On FOX 6

The line-up for ‘UFC On FOX 6’ in January continues to expand with the news that Clay Guida will make his featherweight debut against Hiatsu Hioki at the event in Chicago.

Guida announced his decision to move down to 145lbs after his latest push to get a title shot in the lightweight division crumbled after defeats to current champion Ben Henderson and former No.1 contender Gray Maynard.

As for Hioki, Guida provides the kind of big name opponent he needs to get back into the title mix himself after he lost by decision to Ricardo Lamas, snapping a two-fight winning streak since joining the UFC last year.

Speaking of Lamas, he’ll also fight as ‘UFC On FOX 6’ against Erik Koch, while TJ Grant Vs Matt Wiman and Mike Russow Vs Shawn Jordan have also been penciled in for the show.
