Earlier today we reported that Costa Philippou had pulled out of his fight with Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza at ‘UFC On FX 8’ later this month, and the UFC have now acted swiftly to draft in a replacement.
As we speculated, Chris Camozzi is the man who’ll step up, putting his four fight winning streak up against the former Strikeforce middleweight champion who’ll be making his UFC debut at the event.
Camozzi had in fact initially been brought in as a late replacement for CB Dollaway at the show and was set to fight Rafael Natal, but he now gets promoted to co-main event status opposite ‘Jacare’.
At this stage there’s no indication of whether Natal will remain on the card or not.
