Michael Bisping and Mark Munoz have both been calling for a title shot with newly crowned middleweight champion Chris Weidman since his victory over Anderson Silva last weekend, but it looks like they’ll have to make do with fighting each other instead.
It’s currently being rumored that Bisping and Munoz will clash in Manchester, England at an event still to be named on October 26th.
Of course Manchester is Bisping’s own backyard, but Munoz also has experience fighting in England after headlining the UFC 138 card in Birmingham in 2011.
Munoz got back to winning ways after a lengthy injury layoff last weekend against Tim Boetsch, and his only loss in his past six encounters was against current champion Weidman.
Bisping’s coming off a decision win over Alan Belcher at UFC 159 and has a recent 6-2 record in the middleweight division.
Bisping Vs Munoz is pretty much guaranteed to be the headliner for the event which will be the UK’s second of the year so far after ‘UFC On Fuel TV 7 in London back in February.
