If you’re a regular reader then you’ll know we’re fans of the ‘Gracie Breakdown’ series in which Rener Gracie joins his brother Ryron to explain in detail how some of the best submissions at UFC events were done.
Rener took this to the next level last night at UFC 165 when he decided to enlist the help of MMAfighting.com’s Ariel Helwani (without his prior knowledge!) to show how his student Brendan Schaub choked Matt Mitrione to sleep with a D’Arce choke.
Needless to say Helwani was more than a little freaked out by the experience, joking afterwards that he’d never do another interview with the BJJ ace.
