After his pay-per-view headliner against Tito Ortiz fell through late last week, Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson now has a new fight lined up in just a couple of weeks time.
‘Rampage’ will now debut against another former UFC fighter Joey Beltran in the headline bout at Bellator 108 which will air live on Spike TV.
For ‘Rampage’ this is an opportunity to put a three-fight losing streak in the UFC behind him and he claims he’s currently in the best shape he’s been in since the PRIDE era after undergoing PRP therapy on his knees.
Beltran is also looking to get back in the win column after posting two defeat and a draw in the UFC since dropping down to the light-heavyweight division which lead to him being released from the promotion for the second time in his career.
In the later years of his UFC career ‘Rampage’ often complained that he wasn’t getting paired up with guys who would fight him toe-to-toe, but he should have no problem in that regard with Beltran who should be all too willing to engage him in a slug-fest in the middle of the cage.
Bellator 108 is also expected to play host to a middleweight title fight between Alexander Shlemenko and Doug Marshall, plus the season nine featherweight tournament final featuring Patricio Freire Vs Justin Wilcox.
