UFC Fight Night 37 takes place in London, England this coming Saturday night and will air live on Channel 5 in the UK, or the ‘UFC Fight Pass’ subscription service elsewhere.
Headlining the show is a light-heavyweight encounter between Sweden’s Alexander Gustafsson and England’s Jimi Manuwa.
For Gustafsson this is an opportunity to set up a potential title rematch with Jon Jones (assuming the champ can defeat Glover Teixeira next month), while Manuwa has the chance to produce an upset that’ll propel him into the division’s top 10 contenders.
Co-main event duties on this occasion are handed to lightweight fighters Michael Johnson and Melvin Guillard.
Unfortunately an injury to Ian McCall forced him out of his fight with Brad Pickett, so newcomer Neil Seery will welcome ‘One Punch’ to the flyweight division instead.
Opening up the main card is the hotly tipped Gunnar Nelson who’ll attempt to extend his UFC record to 3-0 against Omari Akhmedov who’s coming off a KO win in his Octagon debut late last year.
