Michael Bisping and Tim Kennedy have been embroiled in a war of words over the internet for some time leading up to their headline fight at the TUF Nations Finale tomorrow night, and yesterday Bisping took the opportunity to continue in the same vein during a pre-fight staredown.
Bisping gave Kennedy a piece of his mind, pointing aggressively at him in the process, while Kennedy remained quiet and a little bemused, and spare a thought for poor UFC Canada exec Tom Wright was left stuck in the middle, gingerly trying to separate them.
“So @TimKennedyMMA talks all this shit on the internet but doesn’t have the balls to say a single word to my face.#keyboardwarrior,” Bisping wrote afterwards on Twitter.
Others pointed out that, what with Kennedy being a decorated Green Beret who’s fought in war zones like Afghanistan, that perhaps it would take more than a few words and some finger pointing to intimidate him.
Meanwhile Kennedy, who it should be noted first started the bad blood between the two when he called Bisping out a long time ago when he was still fighting for Strikeforce, is now purely focused on the fight itself.
“The time for talking is done and I’m ready to knock this guy out!” He said.
Check out video footage of the confrontation between the two fighters below.
