Michael Bisping and Brad Tavares appear to be eager to get back on the horse after their respective defeats in the Octagon in the past week, and if they get there way they may fight each other next.
Tavares first brought up the possibility of the fight on Twitter yesterday, just days after he lost by decision to Yoel Romero on the main card of the UFC On FOX 11 show.
“@bisping we both comin off a loss, u know Im not going to take you down and hump u,” Tavares wrote. “But I will be there to take your head off lets do this”
Bisping had himself tasted defeat earlier in the week, losing out by points to Tim Kennedy in the main event of the TUF Nations Finale, and he appears to be open to Tavares suggestion.
“@BradTavares I want to FIGHT ASAP. Speak to the bosses,” Bisping replied. “I’ve never turned anyone down.”
Bisping is currently placed at No.8 on the UFC’s official middleweight rankings, while Tavares is at No.14 so it’s certainly feasible that they could be drawn together.
The UFC might have other plans for the pair though, so we’ll have to wait and see what they have up their sleeves, though one way or another it sounds like we’ll be seeing the two fighters back in the Octagon before long.
