Anthony Johnson made short work of Antonio Rogerio Nogueira tonight at UFC On FOX 12, hurting him with practically his first punch of the fight and then teeing off on him with a series of vicious uppercuts to seal a TKO victory in under a minute of fighting.
Round One:
Both men start off cautiously with plenty of fakes. Johnson lets his hands fly. Nogueira backs up.
Johnson comes forward and seems to have hurt Nogueira with a punch. He smells blood and with Nogueira backed up against the cage he starts unleashing punches, snapping ‘Lil Nog’s’ head back with a big uppercut, then more behind it.
Nogueira slumps against the cage and it seems like the only thing keeping him up is these uppercuts. Another big one lands and takes Nogueira’s legs out from under him. He hits the mat and this fight is over as the ref steps in with 0.44mins on the clock to hand Johnson an impressive TKO victory!
A big win for the exceptionally heavy-handed Johnson and a tough loss for Nogueira.
