The UFC 177 main card has been reshuffled numerous times now for one reason or another, so with the pay-per-view event taking place this coming Saturday night, August 30th, let’s see how the line-up is now shaping up.
In the main event of the evening bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw will aim to prove that his upset TKO victory over Renan Barao was no fluke when they meet for a second time in the Octagon.
In the co-main event we have a clear indication of the lack of star power remaining on this card with Tony Ferguson taking on Danny Castillo – definitely two good fighters, but neither features on the UFC lightweight rankings at this moment in time.
A veteran of woman’s MMA and a member of Ronda Rousey’s ‘Four Horsewomen’ outfit, Shayna Bazler finally makes her official UFC debut against the No.10 ranked Bethe Correia who’s 2-0 in the UFC so far and a perfect 8-0 overall in her MMA career.
Ramsey Nijem will look to improve upon his current two-fight winning streak when he faces Carlos Diego Ferreira who won a ‘Performance Of The Night’ award in his UFC debut earlier this year courtesy of a 38 second rear-naked choke finish.
Finally, rounding up the main card, Legacy FC featherweight champion Damon Jackson is drafted in to make his UFC debut on just 9 days notice against Yancy Medeiros who’s without a win in his last three fights.
